Sie liegt versteckt auf einer bewaldeten Anh\u00f6he, dem Heitberg, nord\u00f6stlich von Stamsried. 1354 wurde sie durch Dietrich dem K\u00fcrner erbaut, erlebte aber im Laufe der Jahre viele adeligen Besitzer. Die Burg wurde aber nicht einmal 300 Jahre alt. Am 11. Januar 1634 im 30j\u00e4hrigen Krieg wurde sie von Herzog Bernhard von Weimar und seinen Truppen belagert, erst\u00fcrmt und zerst\u00f6rt.<\/p><p>\u00dcber viele Jahre hinweg nagte der Zahn der Zeit an den Tr\u00fcmmern. Erst Mitte der 60ger Jahre ging man daran, die Reste zu sichern, um das, was noch vorhanden war, der Nachwelt zu erhalten. Heute k\u00f6nnen Besucher alle Teile der Burgruine besichtigen. Im Pallas, dem Haupthaus, errichtete der Naturparkverein und die Kommune, von au\u00dfen nicht sichtbar, einen Aussichtsturm. Von dort hat man bei guten Sichtverh\u00e4ltnissen einen wundersch\u00f6nen Ausblick ins Regental.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
